Bolton Surgical secures its independent future through team member ownership

As we celebrate 90 years in business, Bolton Surgical is proud to announce an important milestone in our history: we have transitioned to team member ownership through the formation of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).

100% of the shares in Bolton Surgical are now held by the EOT on behalf of our current and future team members.

For us, this is about much more than a change in ownership. It is about protecting what has made Bolton Surgical successful for nine decades and ensuring the business remains independent for the long term.

Protecting what makes Bolton Surgical special

Since Bolton Surgical was founded in Sheffield in 1936, we have built our business around quality, technical expertise, personal service and long-term relationships with our customers.

Those values remain as important today as they have throughout our history.

Moving to an Employee Ownership Trust provides a way to safeguard them for the future while giving the people who contribute to Bolton Surgical’s success every day a greater stake in the business.

Managing Director Lyndsey Bolton said:

There are no changes to our day-to-day operations, management structure or the way we work with our customers and suppliers.

What has changed is the structure behind the business, giving Bolton Surgical an even stronger foundation for the future.
